Where to Eat This Weekend: High Point Creamery

DSC06732Denver is blessed to have many amazing ice cream and sweet treat shops throughout the city.  Add to your ice cream list as a must stop location High Point Creamery, which just opened May 15th in the Hilltop neighborhood.  Owners Erika Thomas and Chad Schultz have a passion for flavor and ice cream that truly comes out in their all homemade products.

DSC06742High Point Creamery uses only natural ingredients, mostly organic and local, and flavor combinations you wouldn’t think to put together but match perfectly.  Personal favorites of mine include basil with blackberry swirl, honeydew cardamom yogurt and Earl Grey with short bread.  The flavors and freshness truly pop and will challenge what you think butter pecan or mint chocolate chip ice cream should taste like.

High Point Creamery offers ice cream flights, which is totally genius.  You can get 5 mini samples of ice cream plus 1 topping including homemade bittersweet chocolate sauce or caramel sauce, and 1 topping which could include gold sugar or black lava salt.  These flights are perfect for sharing and offer a chance to try many different flavors.  High Point Creamery also offers floats, waffle cones, ice cream bombes and a pour over coffee option with Sweet Bloom coffee.  They are recently kosher certified as well.
