Lou’s Food Bar combines a fun, family centered atmosphere, elevated American comfort food and an inviting bar with creative drink options. Lou’s Food Bar is a part of the famous Bonanno’s restaurant concepts which includes other restaurants such as Bones, Salt & Grinder and Vesper Lounge.
Lou’s Food Bar offers familiar American classics like shrimp and grits, chicken and waffles, breakfast BLT, Mac & Cheese, Rueben or a French dip. However, these dishes are elevated into something extraordinary by tweaking some of the standard ingredients. For example, the chicken and waffles comes with saffron honey and uses a malted brown butter waffle in place of an ordinary waffle. The shrimp and grits uses lobster stock and bacon, and the grilled cheese has herbed chevre, Swiss cheese, roasted red peppers, caramelized red onions and served on jalapeno cheddar bread.
Lou’s Food Bar serves Nashville style fried chicken, and on August 5th they introduced hot fried chicken for the dinner menu. For brunch on the weekends, Lou’s Food Bar offers a Bloody Mary bar and they have happy hour Tuesday-Saturday from 4-6pm for food and drink specials.
