Where to Eat this Weekend: Rueben’s Burger Bistro

For those of us who procrastinated too long, yet again, to score tickets to the Great American Beer Festival this weekend, we are lucky to have so many local beer slingers to visit instead.  Our most recent find, Rueben’s Burger Bistro in Boulder, has over eighty Belgian beers on tap and a staff who know their suds.  To match these beauty brews, Rueben’s serves fifteen different half pound burgers, including vegan and turkey burgers. All meat is hormone-free and local, as are most of the other ingredients.  Aside from the ideal juicy burgers, other menu highlights are the mussels served with your choice of five different broths from curry to blue cheese.  The build your own mac & cheese is as entertaining as it is delicious.  The “halfy-hour” scene is hoppin’ with half off all drinks and appetizers from 3-6pm every day.  Rueben’s philosophy is simple–great burgers and great beers. Who can argue with that?
